The fall is near Mala Parashuram temple which is just 2 kms away. To reach the upper section of the fall you will have to walk another 2 kms. During rainy season the size of the fall doubles and somewhat resembles the Abbi falls of Coorg. For accommodation decent hotels are available near by the forest. They provide great trekking packages too. However, you will find fewer motorways to reach the falls.

Some local people come here for picnics too but that spot is a bit far from the actual falls. The river beneath is extremely cool and clear. Such cascading water is definitely a rare sight in the city.
